We bring years of experience in civil and military operations, instruction and training development from all facets of ATM. Our team of associates and business partners offer timely extension of your capabilities in airside operations, including airport ground handling, air traffic flow management, and infrastructure optimization. We also have a focus on training in English as a Second Language for aviation, with an online blended learning course geared to ICAO level four functional performance requirements.

Ian Mactaggart
Chief Executive Officer
Ian is an expert in the field of ATM and business management. His early days as an air traffic controller in the Royal Canadian Air Force propelled him into senior positions that subsequently drove him to understand the many subtleties and complexities involved in the safe, professional control of air traffic.
Ian represented Canada on international ATC regulatory, communications and flight safety committees. He also worked on the technology behind ATC with a global company that developed state-of-the-art ATC systems and simulators. Those systems have significantly updated capabilities and safety for civilian and military use in multiple countries.
Ian is a proven leader in private industry and a trusted advisor in program management, business development, and engineering — always with a strategic focus. What sets Ian apart is his high level of integrity; this, combined with his natural leadership skills, is apparent in the relationships he builds and his strong work ethic.
Seeing a gap in available professional ATC training, Ian formed the team that became Platinum Aerospace International. His vision is to make Platinum the go-to, world-class ATM support firm with safety and exceptional service as its hallmarks.
As Platinum’s CEO, Ian continues to lay the groundwork to secure new opportunities and is “hands-on” towards achieving high levels of satisfaction amongst clients in the day-to-day work.
Pierre Senay
Director of Education
Pierre Senay is an adult learning specialist whose primary focus is on air traffic control excellence.
As an Air Traffic Controller with Airport, Terminal and Enroute experience, Pierre devoted much of his career to training, from on-the-job to classroom and simulator instruction. At the Montreal Area Control Centre, Pierre was instrumental in the successful delivery of the operational training for the introduction of the first automated air traffic control system, and of training for bilingual communications.
He also played a pivotal role in the preparation and delivery of operational training for the Canadian Automated Air Traffic System where he designed a unique simulation exercise preparation system to facilitate testing and evaluation of the system.
Helping to define the Air Navigation System of the future, Pierre was a Study Area Manager on the Canadian Airspace Review where he oversaw the work of stakeholder groups from industry, labour and governments.
As a consultant, Pierre worked for clients in government, commercial and not-for-profit organisations. He proposed, designed and delivered an electronic electoral process for a province-wide school district in British Columbia, which generated cost savings and rapid result delivery. Pierre also served as a volunteer on a number of Boards and Committees where he held executive roles; as President in one organisation, he doubled paid membership two years in a row while at another, he restored financial stability to a community service provider.
Pierre holds a Master of Science in Project Management and a Bachelor of Business.
